♡Turkiye seni seviyorum♡

this year summer holiday has been the greatest 2 weeks so far, it was tiring at first, i got to grunt about my sore ankle to my mom almost every night, but it was worth it. I LOVE DENIZLI AND TURKEY. the people there are too sweet, not to mention our own country being the most craziest people when it come to bus ride! two new songs that got stuck to my head "bara bara bere" and "yatcaz kalkaz oradyim" i'm not sure about the spelling tho. our two lovely tour guide, hatice and aysegul would play those songs as a mood booster before the performance and after the show. we still hit'd it. there are tears and joy, i don't really got to share tears, except after the gala perfomance, almost everyone were on tears. i love the dorm because they got us some wifi at the cafetaria downstairs  yeay for wifi

the color of our dorm was pastel pink with baby blue stripes on it. my first impression was cotton candy, it was the kind of building i would see on tumblr, like apartments and motel and such.
we got to visit Istanbul before we went to Denizli by bus for 10 hours, it was quite a road trip. my body kinda hurt and i got cold easily, it was frustrating. Istanbul was amazing, it was filled with lots of flowers! you know i have a thing for flowers. there were building and houses with flowers growing on it walls. it was so nice, made me wanted to go to Greece for some reason. They even sell flower crowns on the street, back in Jakarta, flower crowns probably be drinks and cigarettes. i got to buy two flower crowns, and one of them are daisies! which is lovely. it was filled with delicious turkish ice cream and kebab. Turkey is the land for good looking guys, even taxi driver are good looking, me and syifa would point and look at each other every time we see a good looking fellow. unfortunately it was too much to handle. i was amazed by turkish unique items and print, they're so lovely, there was this lamp that me and syifa got our eyes on, they were SO BEAUTIFUL. i didn't buy it due to the heaviness and fragileness (is that even a word) of the lamp, but syifa bought one, jealous.

Denizli weather was mad, it was striking hot, Istanbul was hot but it was windy which make it okay. Denizli was just hot. i wear flats the other day, and now my foot was more like half tanned and half normal. gross.

The Festival was amazing and i had so much fun, we performed Indang, betawi, and gaba-gaba, and from the crowd applause, we did a great job. i don't know how well we danced until Ka Nasha told us that someone just offered us Indonesian delegates to perform at another dance festival after the turkish one finished, in Poland! And he told her that they will fund all our tickets and stuff, and he told her that he was interested with out dance and culture because he find it interesting and different. by that he meant we dance excellent. i was so happy and want to take that offer, but then i remember we got euro trip coming up after the festival. sh-a-d.

the last performance was emotional, i pour all of my energy out, and i was pretty satisfied, Indang was my favorite dance by far, and everyone was amused and entertained, so glad, remembering the fact that other participant was a professional dancer, and were just students. but we got treated like professionals, soooo happy. we got to learn the turkish dance as well. it was the most amazing experience i've ever had. last night at the dorm we got our self a t-shirt and a marker, and everyone was asking each other and other countries signature. didn't get all of them, since lots of them rush to the airport as soon as they got home from the open air theater. it was a fun ride, sooo many ups and downs but mostly ups.so sad i didn't get to know all of the participants name tho.

creepy rant at midnight

have you ever woke up at 3 am and you read someone tweet that if you woke up at 2 or 3 am that means someone is watching you. well it happened to me, not the someone's watching you part, i mean reading someone tweet about that at 3 am. i could feel goosebumps right away. lately i've been watching some creepy old movies, listening to someone playlist named "the perfect songs if you're inside of a haunted house" dude's cray, but the songs are genius. and i've been reading lots of fun and creepy articles about scary video games, even stuffs like the dark side of disney, and why 10 reasons why you should hate on children folklore and songs.

quick list of my favorite fun creepy things:
1. Goosebumps by R.L Stine
i used to read it almost every week at my elementary school library. it's the best. i mean who doesn't read it? it was a classic. even the TV show. Elementary school consisted of me reading Goosebumps, Famous Five, and Nancy Drew. countless hours spent reading alone in my room, too afraid to go to bed.

2. Are You Afraid Of The Dark
even tho i'm not born yet when this series was a big hit, i started to watched it when i was in a 5th grade when i randomly search "afraid dark" i remember it perfectly because i don't really understand why i type those two words in the search box. i literally watched the whole series on youtube and still re-watched it till now. i love the episode where the girl saw the grandma daughter in the mirror and then she gets dragged in the mirror.

3. Creepy Pasta
as much as i hate creepy sites, i love reading someone else stories about their creepy experience, once i randomly type "real ghost stories" and i got this one site, and i spend almost 2 hours reading stories on the site. same thing goes to creepy pasta. this one's my favorite

One late night, you are up in your bedroom when you hear your mom calling you downstairs, you are halfway down the staircase when all of sudden, you see your mom in front of her bedroom door,  terrified, she whispers, 'Don't go downstairs. i heard her too'

Who do you believe?

4. People who re-tell someone else spooky story (which is not scary) and exaggerated it to frighten others
i do this often, i just love to scare people, but sometimes people make it way different from the original which makes it unreal and too scary and creepy.

5. Lullabies
lullabies are fun, i love lullabies. but i hate it when people do it normally like real like lullaby songs. i get a little freaked out. especially if it's on the movie, and the it consist people wearing frilly white nightgown. it's beautiful and freaky.

6. The Internet Story
the man behind this video is a genius. i actually thought it was real for a split second. about 2 or 3 weeks ago, i couldn't remember the exact time. my friend who's all like mysterious-ish told me about this video called "the internet story" it's about a quest and a treasure hunt based on a local folk stories and a murder at the same time. i was scared, but then he told me that it was a hoax made by some guy. but that video gave me a fright and it was believable and convincing for a minute. ~goodnight don't let the bed bugs bite~

birthday blue

i was having my fifteen birthday on 28th. i received lots of lovely birthday wishes from my friends and families. and i received lovely presents from all of you. big thank you
just today i was celebrating my birthday+janis+kakung depok at klangenan gallery restaurant. when i got there, there's only janis there, and then we decided to go for a swim and we took quite lots of pictures with her underwater camera. since i just got my new polaroid instax from my parents, so we took four pictures with my polaroid. one out of four attempts failed. it was too dark and too far, but it turn out quite alright (not as i expected tho). we also made a video of us swimming, diving, and stuff that we wanted to turn it into some motion video (video soon will be uploaded)ah, reason behind my post title. i couldn't find any, my brain somehow were creative blocked.

and i'm currently studying french for my final exam at monday BON COURAGE (read: good luck) ps: my mom just ordered rookie yearbook one from amazon! it'll be on my hand around the 21st of december or earlier. excited.

underwater photos below are from janis's blog

excuse me for my lack of passion for writing blog post lately, school stuffs and dance practice are driving me nuts, i have dance practice every day after school, until 17:00 noon, so.

how's your halloween? mine was a but different from all of you, instead of dressing up in costumes, my school celebrates bulan bahasa, in which we have to dress up in Indonesia's culture clothes. mine was kebaya, i didn't really want to dress up because the weather will be hot so i assumed the costume will be hot and itchy. so no. before we have bulan bahasa activity, my class, were having exams. so this will be my first time doing an exam wearing a kebaya. i hope it brings me luck or whatsoever, they must!!

talking about halloween, if i have a chance to dress up for halloween this year, i have 2 options, it's probably the easiest costume i could find, and yes i have to say i've been adoring these costumes and characters for a while now.

suzy bishop and sam shakusky, from moonrise kingdom

found this photo on instagram, it's too cute. favorite couple who go as suzy and sam for halloween. when i first saw moonrise kingdom i truly adore their costume choices, and with halloween coming up, i instantly wanted to be suzy bishop, since the costume was not that hard to find. a collared dress, a high kneed socks, a sling bag, a telescope, and some unusual earring. hair? clip-on

grady twins, from the shining
"come play with us" scary but cute. this scene gave me the fright. but mostly when danny talks to his finger. yes, talking to your finger always makes things better. this is another easy costume, frilly dress, high kneed socks, classic shoes, and some hair pin. i seen people with this costume and they look so awesome sweet and haunting at the same time.

both of the options up there have the most easiest possible costumes options, but since both them need a partner, i don't know who i would go with. i found an idea from rookiemag.com, it's a little bit of a hand craft coustume, but still, genius...
nobody celebrates halloween here, i mean the traditional way, i'm talking about trick or treat. i have one of those back in the days, it was my first. i dressed up as a witch because it was a hit back then. we have trick or treat door by door and we collect candies. but i forgot where i celebrate it. it was totes fun

so for halloween, decided to have a small movie marathon, some early movie marathon which i had with janis, was pretty little liars halloween eps: it's a dark ride, and cabin in the woods.  it's her first, so i know when something's coming. and she lost it. i just love aria's costume, she's daisy from the great gatsby, the whole episode was thrilling, it left me hanging on confusion, like who the hell is that ghost girl, that freaky hand from the ground, and what the hell alison dilaurentis body bad doing on the train /sigh/ i have to wait for another 2 months for the next episode, how dare you abc :-( the next day, we watched witch board 2 (my mom randomly watched that on our cable tv), obviously  it's about oujia board. i don't get people with oujia board. some guts they have. and i'm 100% sure that the girl who plays the main role paige was emma roberts until i realized that it's an oldie movie. they have the same high pitched voice. i was laughing through the entire movie, classic horror movie.
had another movie marathon on halloween, i watched (alone, in the dark) american horror story: asylum season two. it was dark, scary, nerve wrecking, and disturbing at the same time. i just love the fact that evan peters came back as a completely different role from the first season, on the first he punish people, and now he gets punished /laugh/ oh jessica lange is back also, i just want to slap her for being so mean to people, but she deserve a thumbs up for her acting debut, so believable. and adam levine as leo dayum. moving on, are you afraid of the dark was next. favorite, yup definitely my favorite. can we have a bonfire outside at night and tell each other a spooky story? the cheesy scary story seems scary to me until now
the one that always gets me: AHS season two intro, i always mute the audio because the music is too scary for me, makes me deeply disturbed.

years later and this is still creepy as hell. those intros gave me goosebumps and frights, the music was a masterpiece and the only thing that makes the intros scary. too make things better, here's my daily entertainment when halloween is coming, amy's is just hilarious  i almost choked up my food, and burst into a 5 minutes laughter every time i watch this video
i'm supposed to make a halloween playlist, but i'm too lazy to make one (this time only, promise) so i went to rookies tracks instead, and i found two playlist dedicated for halloween. it's nice, so maybe i could share it with you guys, here's some list of what music is in the playlist, you guys should listen. the second photo were more of a garage horror band from the 80's. it actually have some pretty good tunes, go try it.
cause i'm lazy

since i don't really have a halloween activity other than movie marathon, so i'm going to stop talking about halloween now. i just finished my dance performance today! all of those pain of practicing non stop for two weeks payed off :-) congratulations for all of us, it was truly an exciting experience. that thingy on my head are extremely heavy, it gives me headache for real. but i love the skirts. when we twirl and then sit down it blooms.
