fleur nature

Marsha Reva x Syndicate. Marsha Reva and a clothing company, Syndicate, has teamed up creating a natural environmental vibe sweatshirtsstarting from flowers prints, abstract, and leaves, and digital art altogether printed on a sweatshirt. i absolutely love this, i was looking for some good printed sweater lately,  then i saw this. and then i realized that i was nowhere near the place where they're selling this. sigh, the perks of being an indonesian.

birthday blue

i was having my fifteen birthday on 28th. i received lots of lovely birthday wishes from my friends and families. and i received lovely presents from all of you. big thank you
just today i was celebrating my birthday+janis+kakung depok at klangenan gallery restaurant. when i got there, there's only janis there, and then we decided to go for a swim and we took quite lots of pictures with her underwater camera. since i just got my new polaroid instax from my parents, so we took four pictures with my polaroid. one out of four attempts failed. it was too dark and too far, but it turn out quite alright (not as i expected tho). we also made a video of us swimming, diving, and stuff that we wanted to turn it into some motion video (video soon will be uploaded)ah, reason behind my post title. i couldn't find any, my brain somehow were creative blocked.

and i'm currently studying french for my final exam at monday BON COURAGE (read: good luck) ps: my mom just ordered rookie yearbook one from amazon! it'll be on my hand around the 21st of december or earlier. excited.

underwater photos below are from janis's blog

excuse me for my lack of passion for writing blog post lately, school stuffs and dance practice are driving me nuts, i have dance practice every day after school, until 17:00 noon, so.

how's your halloween? mine was a but different from all of you, instead of dressing up in costumes, my school celebrates bulan bahasa, in which we have to dress up in Indonesia's culture clothes. mine was kebaya, i didn't really want to dress up because the weather will be hot so i assumed the costume will be hot and itchy. so no. before we have bulan bahasa activity, my class, were having exams. so this will be my first time doing an exam wearing a kebaya. i hope it brings me luck or whatsoever, they must!!

talking about halloween, if i have a chance to dress up for halloween this year, i have 2 options, it's probably the easiest costume i could find, and yes i have to say i've been adoring these costumes and characters for a while now.

suzy bishop and sam shakusky, from moonrise kingdom

found this photo on instagram, it's too cute. favorite couple who go as suzy and sam for halloween. when i first saw moonrise kingdom i truly adore their costume choices, and with halloween coming up, i instantly wanted to be suzy bishop, since the costume was not that hard to find. a collared dress, a high kneed socks, a sling bag, a telescope, and some unusual earring. hair? clip-on

grady twins, from the shining
"come play with us" scary but cute. this scene gave me the fright. but mostly when danny talks to his finger. yes, talking to your finger always makes things better. this is another easy costume, frilly dress, high kneed socks, classic shoes, and some hair pin. i seen people with this costume and they look so awesome sweet and haunting at the same time.

both of the options up there have the most easiest possible costumes options, but since both them need a partner, i don't know who i would go with. i found an idea from rookiemag.com, it's a little bit of a hand craft coustume, but still, genius...
nobody celebrates halloween here, i mean the traditional way, i'm talking about trick or treat. i have one of those back in the days, it was my first. i dressed up as a witch because it was a hit back then. we have trick or treat door by door and we collect candies. but i forgot where i celebrate it. it was totes fun

so for halloween, decided to have a small movie marathon, some early movie marathon which i had with janis, was pretty little liars halloween eps: it's a dark ride, and cabin in the woods.  it's her first, so i know when something's coming. and she lost it. i just love aria's costume, she's daisy from the great gatsby, the whole episode was thrilling, it left me hanging on confusion, like who the hell is that ghost girl, that freaky hand from the ground, and what the hell alison dilaurentis body bad doing on the train /sigh/ i have to wait for another 2 months for the next episode, how dare you abc :-( the next day, we watched witch board 2 (my mom randomly watched that on our cable tv), obviously  it's about oujia board. i don't get people with oujia board. some guts they have. and i'm 100% sure that the girl who plays the main role paige was emma roberts until i realized that it's an oldie movie. they have the same high pitched voice. i was laughing through the entire movie, classic horror movie.
had another movie marathon on halloween, i watched (alone, in the dark) american horror story: asylum season two. it was dark, scary, nerve wrecking, and disturbing at the same time. i just love the fact that evan peters came back as a completely different role from the first season, on the first he punish people, and now he gets punished /laugh/ oh jessica lange is back also, i just want to slap her for being so mean to people, but she deserve a thumbs up for her acting debut, so believable. and adam levine as leo dayum. moving on, are you afraid of the dark was next. favorite, yup definitely my favorite. can we have a bonfire outside at night and tell each other a spooky story? the cheesy scary story seems scary to me until now
the one that always gets me: AHS season two intro, i always mute the audio because the music is too scary for me, makes me deeply disturbed.

years later and this is still creepy as hell. those intros gave me goosebumps and frights, the music was a masterpiece and the only thing that makes the intros scary. too make things better, here's my daily entertainment when halloween is coming, amy's is just hilarious  i almost choked up my food, and burst into a 5 minutes laughter every time i watch this video
i'm supposed to make a halloween playlist, but i'm too lazy to make one (this time only, promise) so i went to rookies tracks instead, and i found two playlist dedicated for halloween. it's nice, so maybe i could share it with you guys, here's some list of what music is in the playlist, you guys should listen. the second photo were more of a garage horror band from the 80's. it actually have some pretty good tunes, go try it.
cause i'm lazy

since i don't really have a halloween activity other than movie marathon, so i'm going to stop talking about halloween now. i just finished my dance performance today! all of those pain of practicing non stop for two weeks payed off :-) congratulations for all of us, it was truly an exciting experience. that thingy on my head are extremely heavy, it gives me headache for real. but i love the skirts. when we twirl and then sit down it blooms.

Couch potato

if i can nominate myself as "number  one couch potato" i will, and i'm pretty sure i'll won that. re-watching the 90/80/70's and the early 2000's movies have been my daily dose of happiness and my mood booster for this month. so, instead of doing my homework i made a collage of my september admiration, just because i can

a walk to remember

this friday, janis and i, had an "all genre-movie marathon" at my house, by all genre i mean from comedy, drama, indie, horror, to action. but we manage to only watched three types of movies, due to our sleepy eyes, we have to cancel the horror and action. I SWEAR, my eyes are tired until now, damn you. no movie marathon complete without a snacks and hot chocolate to accompany you. so we made a must-have food which is popcorn, hot chocolate, and fried oreos. for those of you haven't tried fried oreos, you suck. it's not hard to make it and it's amazing.here's the recipe to make fried oreos, if you're interested

stuffs you need:
2 quarts of vegetable oil
1 egg
1 cup of milk
1 cup of pancake mix
1 pancake of oreos (best taste with vanilla oreos)
1 teaspoon of sugar

steps:
- heat the vegeatable oil until it's hot
- wisk together the egg, milk, pancake mix untill it's smooth
- dip the oreos into the mix
- fried it, don't fried it too long
- pour some sugar on top when it's done

our attempt to make fried oreos without using eggs #badassmodeon

the list of movies we watched, were
1. Detention (starring Josh Hutcherson and hanley Caswell)
it's too much for me, and no, i'm not talking about the movie, i'm talking about josh. he's so cuuute i just want to squash him and give him a big hug every time he shows up on my laptop screen. i couldn't stop saying cutie pototie, whatever that means. the only reason were watching this was because there's josh in it, and he direct this movie. in my opinion, the movie was random and hillarious, i'm serious you have to watch it, if you like some horror-comedy-random type of movie

2. A Walk to Remember (starring Mandy Moore, Shane West)
drama hits off with a walk to remember, i've never seen this movie (i know, i'm so lame) but i know the story tho, and i think i've read half of the book back when i was in junior high, so it was exciting. personally i think, if you combine the notebook and dear john it would never be as good as a walk to remember. the movies is so sweeeeeet yet so sad, nowdays, girl like jamie and boy like landon is rare and hard to find, not even kidding. every girl needs one landon in their life. watch it, recommended new favorite

3. Submarine (starring Noah Taylor)
i watched it at last! my friend keep telling me to watch this movie back at 9th grade, and of course i forgot about it. until i randomly mention submarine for our movie marathon. we watched this late at night, so in time of the scene i was asleep. and then i would wake up and had no idea what i'm watching. so, i re-watched it and i love this movie, it turns out great. Oliver accent and Jordana hair are so likable. one of my favorite scene was when oliver and jordana was hanging and playing around in a memory sequence, with the background music by ALEX TURNERRR. alex turner's songs were just cherry on top of an amazing movie, so heartwrenching

talking about movies, i just realized the perks of being a wallflower trailer is out on youtube! i can't. i hope the movie wouldn't be a letdown. but since, the writer is the director i'm pretty sure it'll be amazing even if there's a few changes from the book. logas as charlie the awkward kid, me like. and i can't wait to hear emma with her american accent, i always have an issue with british ability to hidden their accent while they're singing or even talking, such a talent. as i promise you, here's our futa music video, but you can't barely hear the reff part BLAME IT ON THE RECORDING STUDIO GUY. as usual, here's some mix i made, it have a lot of old songs with a folk mellow tunes. good day and i hope october is enjoyable x

1.Summer 68' - Pink Floyd 2. After Hours- The Velvet Underground 3. To Be With You - The Honey Trees 4. Youth - Daughter 5. You Could be Happy - Snow Patrol 6. Alone Again (naturally) - Gilbert O'sullivan 7. Michicant - Bon Iver 8. Strange Magic - Electric Light Orchestra

sofia coppola

just had two movie marathon by Sofia Coppola which are The Virgin Suicides, and Somewhere. i always love how the movie was written, the soundtrack, the scheme, well basically the movie. the virgin suicides was my favorite somehow, good adaption from the book, and somewhere, well i love every movie which have elle fanning in it.

the virgin suicides

somewhere

favorite scene and songs from both movies, virgin suicides was the phone scene it was really bittersweet and somewhere was the pool scene. how many times have you seen elle fanning drinking from an invisible tea pot in the pool on tumblr? the song alone again (naturally) and i'll try anything at once by the strokes were my favorite from both movies, and i just realized that i'll try anything at once were the demo and slower version of You Only Live Once, stupid me.
